In 1996 and 1997, I released two E.P.’s ‘Sample madnesS pt.1 Donuts with Buddah’ and Sample madnesS pt.2 ‘Bounce to disS’. These E.P.’s were released in Japan as one album ‘From the EboStation’. I won several awards for these E.P.’s.

Sample madness E.P.’s

In 1996 I released my first E.P. ‘Sample madnesS pt.1 Donuts with Buddah’ under the moniker ‘Eboman’. This E.P. was a big success and opened a lot of doors for me. In 1997 I released the second E.P. Sample madnesS pt.2 ‘Bounce to disS’. These E.P.’s were released in Japan as one album ‘From the EboStation’.

Production

Most tracks were written for my DJ sets and live shows and then remixed to be released on vinyl/CD. I liked working like that: I imagined what songs I wanted to play in my DJ set, but couldn’t find in a record store. I then created these tracks myself and tested them out live.

I produced these tracks with a Roland S760 sampler and a TB-303 clone on my living boat and, when I moved to Amsterdam, in an abandoned school building. The video tracks I made with the Amiga/S760 video sampler until I bought an Apple computer and a Miro Motion DC-20 video capture card in the summer of 1996. End of 1996 I got a second Roland S760 for more sampling power.

The tracks

Below you’ll find all tracks from these E.P.’s including remixes by Depth Charge, Ken Ishii and Yamataka eYe. Also included below are Samira, a remix I made for Treble Spankers and two versions of GarbiTch: the original version produced with the Amiga/S760 video sampler and a remake in colour I made later that year with Adobe Premiere.
